Tammy Slaton has an important takeaway from her weight loss journey.
In an Aug. 20 post to TikTok, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star—who recently announced that she has shed a total of 500 pounds since beginning her health journey—shared a lip sync video with a message she hopes will inspire others to see their value.
“Always remember you are beautiful,” Tammy wrote in the caption. “You are strong. You are brave. You are loved and you are enough.”
In the video, the 38-year-old lip syncs to an audio track from TikToker Havva Ramadan that also contains a powerful message.
“There are people in this world whose faces light up when they see you,” Ramadan said. “And that’s not because of what you can do or what you can provide or how they can benefit from you. It’s just because of who you are.”
And the reality TV star’s encouragement was well-received by her many followers.
“Thank you Tammy! You give me my hope and happiness by sharing your life and happiness w us!” one user commented on her video. Another shared, “You have been an encouragement and inspiration to me on your journey.”
Earlier in the day, Tammy—who stars in the TLC series with her sister Amy Slaton Halterman—shared a dancing video to shake off any haters and share her upbeat outlook.
“I’m just up here having fun trying to make everybody smile and pass it around,” she wrote. “Anything is possible. You’re strong. You’re beautiful. You are love. You are enough. Never forget that.”
Tammy’s positivity comes amid her difficult health journey, which has included undergoing bariatric surgery in July 2022 and a 14-month stay in a weight loss rehab facility.
In an Aug. 17 post, though, Tammy shared a video of her and six friends celebrating their individual and collective health journeys. As the six “weight loss warriors” joined hands and lifted them together, the video revealed that they had collectively lost 2,078 pounds.
“Truly absolutely amazing ladies and I’m happy to call y’all all my friends,” Tammy wrote. “I’m so proud of each and every one of y’all. Not only are you beautiful on the inside but you’re gorgeous on the outside. Never forget.”
